Fields of Mistria Gift Guide: Best Gifts for Every Character in 1.0

Giving gifts in Fields of Mistria should be simple. Hand someone a flower, receive a sweet little thank-you and continue rebuilding the town you were somehow placed in charge of five minutes after arriving.

Unfortunately, Mistria has opinions.

Celine loves flowers. March dislikes them. Wheedle loves Fiber, which feels less like a gift and more like handing somebody lint from your pocket. Choose correctly, and your friendship will grow quickly. Choose badly, and you have wasted your one daily gift on an item they will look at like you just ruined their birthday.

This updated Fields of Mistria gift guide covers the best gifts for every character in version 1.0, including all romance candidates, secret characters, villagers and even the animals with surprisingly firm culinary boundaries.

How Gifting Works in Fields of Mistria

You can give each character one gift per day. The amount of friendship you earn depends on how they feel about it:

  • Loved gift: 20 Friendship Points

  • Liked gift: 10 Friendship Points

  • Neutral gift: 3 Friendship Points

  • Disliked or hated gift: 0 Friendship Points

Birthday gifts receive an additional 20 points, making birthdays the best time to pull out something impressive.

Fortunately, disliked and hated gifts do not reduce friendship. The character may judge you, but the game does not. You can recover from giving Hayden a Sushi Platter. Emotionally, however, that is between you and Hayden.

Best Gifts to Keep in Your Storage

You do not need 34 carefully labeled chests filled with personalized presents. Several loved gifts work for multiple characters:

  • Golden Cookies: Eiland, Juniper, Ryis, Darcy, Dell and Landen

  • Sushi Platter: March, Reina, Valen, Caldarus, Taliferro and Terithia

  • Pumpkin Pie: Adeline, Eiland and Hayden

  • Spell Fruit Parfait: Eiland, Juniper, Reina, Caldarus and Seridia

  • Hard Wood: Ryis, Dozy, Holt and Landen

Stockpiling a few shared favorites makes gifting much easier. Otherwise, your inventory starts looking like you are running an underground catering business.

Best Gifts for Every Fields of Mistria Romance Candidate

Adeline

Adeline loves Coffee, Lemon Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Gazpacho, Peaches and Cream, Middlemist, Plum Blossom, Mistril Ingots and Perfect Pink Diamonds.

Coffee is one of her most convenient loved gifts. Adeline spends all day managing Mistria, so caffeine is less of a preference and more of a structural requirement.

Balor

Balor loves Perfect Rubies, Perfect Emeralds, Perfect Sapphires, Perfect Diamonds, Apple Honey Curry, Chili Coconut Curry and Deluxe Curry.

His taste is gems and expensive food. Of course it is. Balor was never going to become emotionally attached to you over a turnip.

Celine

Celine loves Roses, Hydrangeas, Frost Lilies, Middlemist, Plum Blossoms, Snowdrop Anemones, Crystal Roses and several other rare flowers.

Regular flowers are also liked, making Celine one of the easiest characters to befriend. Pick something pretty, hand it to her and enjoy interacting with the only person in town who respects the traditional rules of farming-game courtship.

Eiland

Eiland loves Pumpkin Pie, Ice Cream Sundaes, Golden Cookies, Glowberry Cookies, Coconut Cream Pie, Strawberry Shortcake, Mont Blanc and Spell Fruit Parfait.

If it contains sugar and looks like it belongs behind glass in a bakery, Eiland probably wants it. Keep him away from your dessert chest unless you are prepared to lose everything.

Hayden

Hayden loves Golden Eggs, Golden Cow Milk, Golden Cheese, Golden Butter, Golden Mayonnaise, Pumpkin Pie, Vegetable Quiche and the Stone Horse artifact.

Regular animal products are liked gifts, so Hayden is easy to befriend once your farm is running. Do not give him a Sushi Platter. The livestock farmer has drawn a very firm line at arranged seafood.

Juniper

Juniper loves Pizza, Fish Tacos, Golden Cookies, Crystal Roses, Moon Fruit Cake, Mushroom Brew, Hardened Essence and Spell Fruit Parfait.

Pizza is a surprisingly normal request from a woman who conducts magical experiments in her bathhouse. Apparently, even powerful witches occasionally want delivery.

March

March loves Gold Ingots, Mistril Ingots, Meteorites, Perfect Ore, Dragon Forged Bracelets and Sushi Platters.

Ore and ingots are your safest options. Do not give March flowers, forageables or archaeological items because he dislikes all three categories. Celine would thank you for a rose. March would respond as if you handed him evidence from an unsolved crime.

Reina

Reina loves Breaded Catfish, Cabbage Slaw, Ice Cream Sundaes, Apple Honey Curry, Rosemary Garlic Noodles, Seafood Boil, Sushi Platters and Spell Fruit Parfait.

Reina wants an actual meal. Do not stroll into the inn with one loose berry and expect the town’s best cook to be moved.

Ryis

Ryis loves Hard Wood, Golden Cookies, Golden Feathers, Golden Horse Hair, Golden Bristles, Lobster Rolls and Veggie Sub Sandwiches.

Hard Wood is the easiest reliable option. Nothing says romance quite like approaching a carpenter and silently handing him a large piece of lumber.

Valen

Valen loves Beets, Beet Salad, Beet Soup, Vegetable Soup, Summer Salad, Harvest Plates, Rosemary Garlic Noodles and Sushi Platters.

A regular Beet counts as a loved gift, making Valen wonderfully affordable. Everyone else wants golden products and perfect gemstones. Valen will accept one vegetable and remember you fondly.

Secret Romance Candidates

The following section contains character spoilers for later story content.

Caldarus

Caldarus loves Fried Rice, Harvest Plates, Mont Blanc, Spring Galettes, Seafood Boil, Sushi Platters, Veggie Sub Sandwiches and the Statuette of Caldarus.

Yes, Caldarus loves a statue of himself. If somebody gifted me a carefully crafted monument to my own greatness, I would also struggle to act modest.

Seridia

Seridia loves Hardened Essence, Perfect Mistril Ore, Spell Fruit Parfait, Monster Mash, Dragon Forged materials, Dragon Pact Tablets and the Unknown Dragon Statuette.

Do not give Seridia the Statuette of Caldarus. She hates it. Keep the dragon statues properly labeled unless you want to walk directly into ancient supernatural drama.

Best Gifts for Every Fields of Mistria Villager

Darcy

Give Darcy Sugar, Cow Milk, Chocolate, Coconut Milk, Golden Cookies or Golden Eggs. Sugar and regular milk are the easiest options.

Dell

Dell loves Jam Sandwiches, Apple Juice, Chocolate, Golden Cookies, Ice Cream Sundaes and several toy swords. Broccoli is her hated gift, which is honestly an understandable childhood position.

Dozy

Dozy loves Basic Wood, Hard Wood, Hard-Boiled Eggs, Catfish, Dog Treats and Golden Eggs. Basic Wood is extremely easy to keep on hand, although gifting a dog a plank remains visually confusing.

Elsie

Elsie loves Paper, Roses, Jasmine Tea, Wildberry Scones, Poached Pears, Perfect Diamonds and Mont Blanc. Paper is the easiest choice and presumably supports whatever gossip records she is maintaining.

Errol

Errol loves Baked Sweetroot, Fish Skewers, Miner’s Mushroom Stew, Perch Risotto, White Wine and Miner’s Helmets.

Avoid Hard-Boiled Eggs. Errol hates them, and I would love to know which egg-related incident caused this.

Hemlock

Hemlock loves Beer, White Wine, Wild Grapes, Spicy Corn, Hot Toddies, Chili Coconut Curry and Incredibly Hot Pot.

Give him alcohol or something spicy. Hemlock does not appear interested in experiencing a calm digestive system.

Henrietta

Henrietta loves Corn, Strawberries, Watermelon, Glowberries, Grilled Corn, Berry Bowls and upgraded small-animal feed.

Corn is the easiest option. Do not give her Garlic unless you want to personally offend a chicken.

Holt

Holt loves Flour, Wheat, Coffee, Watermelon, Hard Wood, Baked Potatoes and Loaded Baked Potatoes.

Wheat and Flour are simple gifts once you begin farming regularly. Holt appreciates practical items and potatoes covered in ambition.

Josephine

Josephine loves Cup of Tea, Green Tea, Jasmine Tea, Lavender Tea, Rose Tea, Quiche and several spicy meals.

Any tea is a safe choice. Josephine is not demanding. She simply expects you to arrive with refreshments.

Landen

Landen loves Hard Wood, Golden Cookies, Golden Cheesecake, Coconut Cream Pie, Shard Mass and several golden animal materials.

Hard Wood is the easiest option. Apparently, large pieces of timber are Mistria’s version of a greeting card.

Louis

Louis loves Red Wine, White Wine, Middlemist and golden wool, feathers or animal materials.

Wine is the most convenient choice when available. Louis wants luxury, not the random stone you found while sprinting through town.

Luc

Luc loves Grilled Cheese, Bumblebees, Copper Beetles, Jewel Beetles, Roly Polies and several other rare insects.

Grilled Cheese is the safest choice if you do not enjoy walking around with live beetles in your pockets.

Maple

Maple loves Chocolate, Hot Cocoa, Lemon Pie, Berries and Cream, Mont Blanc, Middlemist and Monarch Butterflies.

Chocolate is easy and makes significantly more sense than handing a child an ancient lost crown, which she would also love.

Merri

Merri loves Perfect Diamonds, Perfect Pink Diamonds and several golden animal materials, including feathers, wool, bristles and horse hair.

Her taste is expensive. If you are still early in the game, regular crafting materials are liked gifts and will not financially ruin you.

Nora

Nora loves Fried Rice, Pumpkin Stew, Cherry Cobbler, Onion Soup, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Peaches and Cream and Toasted Sunflower Seeds.

She appreciates proper home cooking. Nora does not want one raw onion. She wants you to finish the recipe.

Olric

Olric loves every type of Perfect Ore and Perfect Gemstone, including Perfect Copper Ore, Perfect Ruby and Perfect Diamond.

Regular ore and gems are liked, so save the perfect pieces for birthdays. Olric is delighted by rocks, making him both lovable and financially dangerous near a jewelry box.

Stillwell

Stillwell loves Red Wine, Fog Orchids, Black Tablets and Weightless Stones.

His list sounds less like gift preferences and more like the inventory recovered from a suspicious wizard.

Taliferro

Taliferro loves Fried Rice, Beet Soup, Harvest Plates, Mont Blanc, Seafood Boil, Sushi Platters, Spring Galettes and Spell Fruit Parfait.

Cooked meals are the way to go. Taliferro did not travel to Mistria to receive your spare Fiber.

Terithia

Terithia loves Fish Stew, Lobster Rolls, Perch Risotto, Seafood Boil, Sea Bream Rice, Sushi Platters and other seafood dishes.

She wants fish, but she wants somebody to cook it first. Handing her a raw sardine is not the romantic maritime gesture you think it is.

Vera

Vera loves Beet Soup, Gazpacho, Summer Salad, Sweet Potato Pie, Vegetable Pot Pie, Mushroom Steak Dinner and Winter Stew.

Vegetable dishes are your safest option. She dislikes fish and animal products, so leave the milk and emergency tuna at home.

Wheedle

Wheedle loves Ancient Gold Coins, Perfect Gems, Perfect Gold Ore, Pink Diamond Ore, Coin Lumps and, strangely, Fiber.

Fiber is the clear budget option. Everyone else is demanding gourmet food, and Wheedle will happily accept something you found tangled around a tree stump.

Zorel

Zorel loves Sunflowers, Heather, Middlemist and Morel Mushrooms.

Sunflowers and Heather are the easiest choices. Just remember that Adeline hates Morel Mushrooms, so do not mix up your deliveries.

Can You Give the Priestess Gifts?

The Priestess does not currently accept gifts, so she has no loved or liked items. You can stop carrying an emergency present every time you visit. She does not want your Pumpkin Pie.

What Is the Best Gift in Fields of Mistria?

There is no single gift loved by every character, but Golden Cookies, Sushi Platters, Pumpkin Pies, Spell Fruit Parfaits and Hard Wood cover several villagers.

For the easiest everyday gifting routine, keep a chest near your farmhouse filled with shared favorites, flowers, cooked dishes and mining materials. Then collect what you need before entering town.

This saves time and prevents the deeply embarrassing experience of standing directly in front of your future spouse while frantically searching your inventory and realizing all you have is Fiber, a bug and one wet fish.

Final Fields of Mistria Gifting Tips

You do not need to give everyone a loved item every day. Talking regularly and handing out easy liked gifts will still raise friendship. Save rare loved gifts for birthdays, especially perfect gems, golden animal products and complicated recipes.

Most importantly, pay attention to what each character actually enjoys. Mistria may be a welcoming town, but its residents will absolutely remember that you looked March in the eyes and handed him a flower.
