The Sims 4 Halloween Challenge: Everyone in This House Is Lying
Need a Sims 4 Halloween challenge that doesn’t require buying another pack? Try building a household where everyone has a secret, everyone has access to the kitchen, and absolutely nobody should be trusted to explain what happened.
This is an original storytelling challenge using the base game created by me, Pixel Blanket. The secrets are narrative prompts you create, rather than hidden game mechanics.
Step 1: Create Three Suspicious Housemates
Create three young adult or adult Sims using these roles:
The Perfect Neighbor: Friendly in public and quietly trying to become everyone’s favorite.
The Uninvited Ex: Moved in “temporarily” and has made no visible plans to leave.
The Inheritor: Believes the house belongs to them, despite your complete lack of supporting paperwork.
Choose traits that support the personalities you want to play. Give each Sim a private goal: one wants romance, one wants revenge, and one wants the others gone. All three claim they’re here for a fresh start.
Step 2: Give the House One Problem
Build a gloomy house with an inconvenient shared space: one bathroom, a tiny kitchen, or a dining room everyone has to cross.
You don’t need an elaborate mansion. A household with unresolved tension and one toilet can generate its own atmosphere.
Step 3: Play for Seven Sim Days
Complete these five goals within one in-game week:
Host a social gathering.
Create one new romance.
Turn one friendship into a rivalry through gameplay.
Reveal a secret through a scene you stage.
Make one housemate move out before the week ends.
Use ordinary interactions and your imagination to connect the events. The drama works best when one decision causes the next problem, rather than five unrelated incidents happening to people who share a fridge.
Step 4: Choose the Ending
Decide who keeps the house, who leaves with somebody else’s partner, and who insists everyone has misunderstood them. Save screenshots and write a short account of what happened.
You wanted Halloween gameplay. Now you have a housing dispute with mood lighting.
